What are Hemorrhoids (Hemorrhoids) Treatment Methods?
Although the treatment method used in hemorrhoid disease may vary depending on the complaints, the location and degree of the hemorrhoids, diet and lifestyle changes are generally recommended for all patients. Consuming 20-30 grams of fiber and drinking 1.5-2 liters of water daily is important in preventing constipation and reducing the pressure on the anal canal and correcting complaints. Apart from this, pain relief creams are prescribed to people with itching in the anus and a sitz bath is recommended. External hemorrhoids usually do not bleed unless they are thrombosed (clotting). Creams can be used for treatment in patients with bleeding. Band ligation method can be applied for hemorrhoid treatment in internal hemorrhoids that cause continuous bleeding. In the band ligation method, the veins that cause hemorrhoids are corrected by strangling with a rubber band. This method is especially useful in 3rd degree internal hemorrhoids. Surgical treatment is applied in cases that cannot be corrected by band ligation and in 4th degree internal hemorrhoids. Treatment methods in hemorrhoids may vary depending on the complaints. For this reason, we recommend that our patients who have complaints of bleeding, itching or pain in the rectum make an appointment with the Medicine Health Center doctor as soon as possible.
